My favorite compliment to receive after doing funeral work, or really any floral design, is
“it was exactly what we wanted.”
People don’t just say that casually.
They might say it was beautiful, and that may still be true.
But when they say it was exactly what they wanted, it tells me I met their expectations in a deeper way than just “pretty flowers.”
I wish I could say I always feel confident and never doubt myself.
Today, however, I’m feeling capable,
I’m grateful for the confidence that comes with time and growth.
