Visual evidence of my evolution š¹
The first picture is the roses Alex got me for Motherās Day five years agoĀ
(from The Wild Rose, too š)
I distinctly remember this because it was the only time I ever got wrapped flowers
I remember how therapeutic it was arranging them.
All of my very little kids in bed,
the house quiet.
I took my time,
just me, some pink roses and my kitchen scissors āļø
And an interesting conviction I had while writing this:
Designing for The Wild Rose has never quite felt therapeutic to me.
And I think thatās because pressureĀ
And fear
Which creates stressĀ
And stress blocks your creative and intuitive flowĀ
So hereās to becoming more aware of that fear,Ā
Trusting my own process
Trusting my evolution
Surrendering outcomes
And not sitting here nitpicking these photos and tweaking my current arrangements to death š¤Ŗ
I canāt wait to see what I create in a year from now š«¶š»
