Sacred rebel move of the day:
bringing my late grandmother’s couch right into the middle of my shop.
Grandma lived in Minnesota but she loved The Wild Rose. She followed this page and left comments often before she passed in June of 2025.
Her couch didn’t belong in the dirty garage or our basement at home, never to be used;
she belongs right here.
I’ve been needing a comfortable place to land when work slows,
and I love that a piece of her gets to live here.
Not only through me,
but through her couch, too.
She offers comfort without her physical presence.
I love that I get to create an atmosphere where not every minute has to be filled with productivity,
and not every inch of space is selling something.
I love a world where rest dances alongside productivity,
not functioning as a bandaid for burnout.
This matters for my customers too,
because this space is meant to be felt.
